SSC CGL Syllabus 2025

The computer-based SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is intended for graduates and comprises objective-type multiple-choice questions. The test has a total of 100 questions worth 200 marks, and test-takers are given one hour to complete it. Additionally, for each incorrect answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted as negative marks.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is divided into four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension, each consisting of 25 questions and a total of 50 marks. The exam is worth 200 marks overall, and it is administered in Hindi and English, except the English Comprehension section.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2025: Tier 2 Exam

The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will also be a computer-based test in 2024. Like Tier 1, the syllabus and exam pattern for Tier 2 is based on graduation-level knowledge. The Tier 2 exam will consist of three papers, all of which will be objective type.

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier 2 Paper 1, 2, 3

The SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 1 has two sessions on the same day, with session 1 being 2 hours long and session 2 being 15 minutes long. It has three sections: Section 1 has 30 questions each from Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning & General Intelligence, worth 180 marks and with a 1-hour time limit. Section 2 has 45 questions from English Language and Comprehension and 25 questions from General Awareness, worth 210 marks and with a 1-hour time limit. Section 3 has 20 questions on Computer Knowledge and one Data Entry Task, worth 60 marks and with a 15-minute time limit.
